What is Human Trafficking?

– with Ninette Rothmueller

$5.00

Online
Thursday December 4, 6-7:30 p.m.
Online workshop Online workshop

Human trafficking is a modern form of slavery and the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. In the US trafficking victims are almost exclusively immigrants, the majority of which are women. Trafficking victims are often hidden, yet we might meet them every day—they work at construction sites, restaurants, senior care facilities, pedicure and massage salons, agricultural fields and guest houses. This lecture will help to understand what human trafficking is and in what forms it occurs. It will also introduce local resources that can be accessed and distributed for free.

Presented By...

Ninette Rothmüller is a social worker and lecturer in higher education. Her work focuses on human rights and she has a long history of working with trauma affected populations in many international and national locations.
