Join us for The Power of Place: Reflections of A Teacher on The Holocaust. Meg O’Brien, a history teacher at The Bement School, will share her recent experiences exploring the Holocaust through the lens of history, memory and personal stories. Traveling with 24 other educators this past June to Austria, Poland and Italy, she engaged with world-renowned historians, visited significant historical sites and heard from survivors’ families. Meg hopes to share her experiences with our community as well as teach on this important topic through pictures and documents that she received while traveling.

With a master’s degree in history, Meg O’Brien teaches at The Bement School with a focus on Holocaust education. Meg has traveled to Holocaust sites as well as worked with historians to better understand this topic and bring it back to the classroom.
