The world outside can make us feel unsettled at times, but we have more choice than we realize to shift our state towards one of greater calm. This workshop offers simple but potent practices that engage our senses, get us moving and nurture a sense of greater self-compassion, which neuroscience has shown is a great way to bring in more relaxation. Some practices are done alone and some in pairs. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, the work of Peter Levine and Parts Work Practices, developed by Richard Schwartz, this workshop will help you gain tools to tend to your inner world. I offer a short lesson on the fight/flight/freeze response, how it shows up in our day to to life and ways to move towards greater feelings of ease. This workshop will be experiential and fun and you will leave feeling more empowered to grow in your capacity for resilience!
