This workshop is meant for those who find public speaking and presenting in classrooms and other venues to be daunting. In this workshop we will practice the exercises and techniques that professionals use to combat the fear and learn to actually enjoy the experience. There will be a lot of laughter and applause to cheer us all through the exercises that will culminate in a final presentation in front of the group.

John McPhee earned his MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City and his BA in Theater from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He has performed alongside the original Broadway cast of Annie in a special concert performance in Manhattan. Additionally, he completed the Midsummer in Oxford Program at the British American Drama Academy, in partnership with the Yale School of Drama.
John is a multifaceted professional—actor, director, writer, producer and educator—who specializes in creating digital media such as video games, training modules and computer programs with a focus on social justice. With over eight years of experience, he has cultivated a reputation for fostering dynamic learning environments, establishing healthy boundaries and supporting the growth of students in the performing arts.
