This will be an interactive workshop reviewing the challenges of nursing homes and long term care and some of the solutions. We will discuss some successful models that are existing and some paths for change in the works, and explore what we can all do in our communities to improve the experience of long term care.
About the Presenter
Rachel Broudy is a physician who has had the privilege of caring for older adults at home, in nursing homes, outpatient clinics and hospitals. She is passionate about putting wellbeing at the center of care for older adults and about improving health care delivery. She is currently the Medical Director of Pioneer Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and faculty at Ariadne Labs, a health systems innovation center in Boston.
