Landscape Watercolor Painting: Introduction to Materials & Composition

Learn about watercolor painting as we explore capturing the beauty of the landscape. We’ll review using watercolor tools and materials, setting up to paint, mixing colors, blending, paper choices and basics of a good composition. There will be short demos and some practice painting, and you will work on a painting of your own. Watercolor materials will be provided, or you are free to bring your own materials. Do bring photos of landscapes you enjoy and you can paint from the image of your choice. This workshop is appropriate both for beginners and more advanced painters wanting to practice technique. This workshop provides a pre-requisite for all other watercolor painting classes.
Classroom location will be provided closer to the start of the class.
