Throughout his travels sharing his photographs and doing public programs over the last 14 years, people often comment on how they enjoy the stories of how and where Dale Monette was when he made certain images. This presentation will not only feature Monette’s stunning wildlife photographs, but also his recollections of the amazing wildlife encounters he has had in the north central Quabbin. Monette will also discuss his photographic methods, his professional ethics and the various types of camera equipment he uses.
Presented By...
Dale Monette specializes in nature photography, wildlife and landscapes. Since the early 1970s he has lived within two miles of the Quabbin Reservoir, where he finds many of his subjects. During the 1980s he was involved in successful efforts to return common loons and bald eagles as nesting species to the Quabbin. Monette spent the last thirty years of his career working as an educator and interpreter for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. He has published four wildlife photography books.
