Designed for beginners, this session introduces the essential skills needed to start using a computer with confidence. Participants will learn how to use the mouse (clicking, double-clicking, dragging) and keyboard (typing, basic shortcuts), open and close programs, and navigate the desktop environment. The class also covers how to organize, save, and find files using folders, along with an introduction to common icons, menus, and basic settings.

Our senior technology programming is supported by a partnership with the towns of Northfield, Charlemont, Colrain, Leyden, Wendell and New Salem, and is funded by the Massachusetts Broadband Institute at the MassTech Collaborative under the Municipal Digital Equity Implementation Program. Funding was provided by Massachusetts ARPA State Fiscal Recovery Funds.
