Join the WaitlistWant to explore the exciting world of Latin dance? This beginner-friendly class will give you the basics of two popular dances. The first three weeks we'll focus on Rumba, which is slower and more sensual. Then we'll focus on Cha Cha, which has a quick and fun style. These dances are related to each other, and you'll learn a simple pattern that can be applied to both dances. We'll cover lead/follow techniques and how to tell which dance style you can do to different songs. No previous experience is required and you don’t need to bring a partner (leaders and followers will switch partners during class).
About the Presenter
Emily Fox has taught social dance in the Pioneer Valley for over 18 years. She’s worked with students of all ages at venues including Dance Northampton, the Hartsbrook School, Paradise Dance and her studio in Florence.
