Group guitar classes can be a lot of fun for those who have never picked up a guitar before, or for beginners who can play a little and like to have fun playing with others! Join us for six (6) hour-long sessions where students will learn to play basic chords and read melody lines thorough playing popular song selections. Emphasis will be on learning the instrument, songs accompaniment with basic strums, tuning and guitar care. Bring your own guitar!

Composer, music educator, and Berklee College of Music graduate Shimon Ben-Shir‘s teaching career has been varied from Public to conservatories and a numerous private students. Shimon also leads his own musical group, and has played with many great musicians in the New England area. Shimon believes that playing music should be fun, not overwhelming or frustrating. He strives to create a relaxed and supportive group atmosphere while encouraging his students to gradually grow comfortable with increasingly challenging material.
