Drawing is a wonderful way to connect with the world and bring calm and focus to the mind. We will work with drawing exercises designed to help us see the way an artist sees in order to draw more accurately. For students who have taken Hannah Harvester’s Drawing for Everyone course or newcomers with some drawing experience (this class is not for absolute beginners). We will work mainly in pencil and will incorporate many lessons from Betty Edwards' classic Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, along with other exercises.

Hannah Harvester is a visual and theater artist with extensive clown training, including work with Nettie Lane, Aitor Basauri and Christopher Bayes. Recently completing an intensive teacher training with Giovanni Fusetti, she is eager to share the transformative power of clowning. Based in Conway, Hannah creates oils and soft pastel works, celebrated for their rural landscapes and tender portraits. She also teaches drawing, pastel painting, and printmaking to students of all ages. A Swarthmore College graduate with a BA in Theater, Hannah’s artistic journey has taken her through roles as an educator, folklorist and performer in places like New Mexico, Poland and New York’s North Country. At 28, she pursued her passion for painting under Kasarian Dane at St. Lawrence University.
