Learn about watercolor painting as we explore capturing the beauty of the landscape. We’ll review using watercolor tools and materials, setting up to paint, mixing colors, blending, paper choices and basics of a good composition.
There will be short demos, some practice painting, and you will work on a painting of your own. Watercolor materials provided by GCC include watercolor paints, brushes, watercolor paper, and palettes. Students should bring paper towels, tissues, jars for water, and other materials of their choice.
Also bring photos of landscapes you enjoy (no sunset photos please) and you can paint from the image of your choice. This workshop is appropriate both for beginners and more advanced painters wanting to practice technique. This is a good beginner workshop to take prior to other watercolor workshops.
