GCC and regional partners are helping to build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Greenfield and across Franklin County.
We believe that ALL people have the potential to be entrepreneurs and we are developing a suite of programs, products and services to help people launch, grow and sustain their businesses. The following are core programs that are free for all community members to participate in:
- Entrepreneurial Membership – A pilot program in partnership with Greenspace and LaunchSpace to support ten Franklin County entrepreneurs with free use of coworking space and makerspace, monthly training and professional development events and coaching and preparation for our Take the Floor pitch events
- Be Your Own Boss (BYOBoss) Workshop Series – Delivered in partnership with Greenspace co-work and LaunchSpace Inc. BYOBoss is a four-hour workshop aimed at helping aspiring entrepreneurs refine their business and financial models using proven tools like the Lean Canvas model.
- Take The Floor Entrepreneur Pitch Contest – Take The Floor is a series of county-wide pitch contests that are open to aspiring entrepreneurs and early stage businesses that have been operating for fewer than three years and have under $50,000 in gross revenue. Winners from each contest are invited to a final pitch, typically held in June, where they compete for financial investments to help further their businesses.
- The Goods Pop-Up Shop – The Goods promotes local makers, creators and businesses that sell uncommon goods for the common good. In partnership with the City of Greenfield, we transform vacant storefronts into vibrant retail spaces that provide a free opportunity for entrepreneurs to test “owning” a store.
