Judy Raper, Associate Dean for Community Education

Judy received her B.S in Elementary Education at Indiana University, her M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs and her Ed.D. in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont. Prior to coming to GCC in 2007, she worked at Ithaca College, Syracuse University, Lyndon State College, Keene State College and Hampshire College. Judy serves on the boards of the YMCA, LAVA and the Greenfield Business Association. She is the co-chair for the Housing and Workforce Development Committee for the Opioid Task Force. She serves on the CHIP (Community Health Improvements Program) advisory board and the CEDS (Community Economic Development Strategies) both of which are housed under FRCOG (Franklin Regional Council of Governments). She is the college liaison for Senior Symposia, coordinates the Cyber Seniors program (in which trained youth mentor older adults around digital literacy) and oversees GCC’s OASIS (Older Adults Serving, Seeking and Inspiring) program. Judy co-instructs “College Success for Students in Recovery” funded by the Opioid Task Force. She coordinates personal and community enrichment courses and workshops and works in partnership with community partners to create programs that increase college awareness.
